Are these my first preparations for the blackout? Well, no, not really. Although I had the same thought when I bought this solar charger. One can object now: If no electricity, then no cell phone network. My smartphone also has a radio!
But the main reason for the purchase was rather my forgetfulness. Namely, the forgetfulness that I often forget before a swimming trip or the like to give my phone an appropriate charging status. The solar cells should remedy the situation and provide mien cell phone on the road the necessary power.

First, the data of the BigBlue 14W solar charger (according to the manufacturer): The charging panel is IPX-4 protected and delivers enough power to charge a smartphone in a foreseeable time with 14W and a charging speed of up to 2.4A. The solar charger is foldable and really very small and handy. It is closed by means of push buttons. It also has a pocket for the phone. This pocket is a little tight for larger smartphones, however. Furthermore, a charging cable (USC-C) and 2 carabiners are included.
The enclosed Beidienungsanleitung I have once again not read, but immediately tried everything. So, open the charger, plug the charging cable into the socket on the device, connect the smartphone and off into the sun with it. And yes, it starts charging immediately and not even slowly. In about 10 minutes, the charge level of my old Moto G6 increases by 3-4%. That's something to be proud of.
However, if clouds cor the sun or the solar cells are no longer in direct sunlight, charging is quickly over. Thus, nice weather is a prerequisite for the operation of this solar charger. Amazon comments also criticize a discharge of the smartphone in insufficient sunlight. I can not really judge that yet. For this I first had to order a USB current meter. When it arrives, I will of course provide you with this data.

Messung der Ladespannung
Die gemessene Ladespannung beträgt laut Messgerät 0,75A. Hier ist sicher ein Ungenauigkeit des recht günstigen Messgerätes zu beachten, aber so ungefähr sollte es stimmen. Dieser Wert ist ganz ok. Man muss allerdings beachten. Tag der Messung ist der 27. Juli bei strahlend blauem Himmel. Ist der Himmel stark bewölkt oder befindet man sich nicht in direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ist schnell kein Laden mehr möglich.
Ein Entladung, wenn nicht geladen wird, konnte ich allerdings nicht feststellen, ist aber nicht auszuschließen.

Kompaktes Solar-Ladegerät, klein genug um immer dabei zu sein. Testurteil - GUT
Das BigBlue Solarladegerät ist wirklch sehr handlich klein und passt in fast jede Tasche. Bei bewölktem Himmel oder nicht direkter Sonneneinstrahlung bringt es jedoch meist zuwenig Leistung. Bei schwächerer Sonne, wie zum Beispiel im Winter, konnte ich das Solar-Ladegerät nicht testen, da wir gerade Hochsommer haben.
Wenn du dein Smartphone oder ähnliches bei optimalen Bedingungen laden willst, ist das BigBlue sicher eine günstige Alternative zu teuren Solar-Ladegeräten.
Ich jedenfalls werde auf das X-DRAGON 20W tragbares Solarladegerät umsteigen - der Testbericht dazu folgt in Kürze.
Wenn du dein Smartphone oder ähnliches bei optimalen Bedingungen laden willst, ist das BigBlue sicher eine günstige Alternative zu teuren Solar-Ladegeräten.
