Review - IDOIT fever thermometer - forehead thermometer (BBLOVE) - experiences

The commissioning is actually as always. After unpacking and inserting the batteries, the clinical thermometer is ready for use. After pressing the measurement button, the device switches on and displays the last measured value. Pressing the button again measures the current body temperature when properly aligned.

When it comes to setting options, the selection on this model is not very large. Only the temperature scale can be changed - ° C or ° F. This switch is made by pressing the trigger button for about 8 seconds when the device is switched off. Three - - - and the currently set scale appeared on the display. You can change this by pressing the button and by pressing it for 4 seconds the selected setting is saved.

You cannot deactivate the signal tone when the measurement is successful, but it is very quiet and should not be a problem in most cases.

What I am missing, however, is the switch to the Measure object temperature mode. This is listed in the Amazon description and there is also an icon on the display for body temperature, so I assume there would be one for objects as well. Unfortunately, there is no information on this in the operating instructions and key combinations that lead to the goal with other clinical thermometers do not bring any results here. It's not a big deal for me now, since I use it as a fever thermometer anyway.

The measured values seem to be very good. It is always in the range of the already tested KKmier clinical thermometer, which I have been using for a long time. The values of the IDOIT forehead thermometer tend to be slightly below those of the clinical thermometers from Beurer and Reer, which, however, always seem to be slightly higher, see the respective test reports.
