For our upcoming test series 'Always on the go - always hydrated' we had or have another insulated bottle, or according to the manufacturer insulated mug, in the long-term test. The insulated mug from Diller with 230ml capacity (this size is currently not available).

The Diller insulated mug has a very practical size. Clearly, the filling quantity is not enough for extended hikes or bike tours. But for an iced coffee at the bathing trip or a refreshment in between, it is perfect. The drinking bottle is 100% leak-proof, but not for carbonated drinks. The mechanism of the lid is practical - when operated correctly. The sliding mechanism 'disables' the opening mechanism - by pressing on the lower part of the slider, the lid pops open. The drinking opening is practical and allows comfortable drinking.
Rienigung should be done by hand. However, since I often use this insulated bottle for coffee and I am also extremely lazy, I also always clean this cup incl. lid in the dishwasher. After a few cleanings, however, the outer coating begins to dissolve - does not look nice, but does not bother me and the function is still maintained. Also, the tightness has not diminished after more than a year.

A VERY GOOD with the restriction of the cleaning option. Who is not bothered by this, should be satisfied with the insulated mug.

Is the bottle absolutely leak-proof?
Yes, the thermos is absolutely leak-proof with non-carbonated drinks. After 1 year of use and despite repeated cleaning in the dishwasher.
Is the bottle suitable for carbonated drinks?
No. Definitely not. Tested it once.
Can you clean the drinking cup in the dishwasher?
No and Yes. No, but it is not recommended by the manufacturer. However, after repeated cleaning in the dishwasher, the outer coating on the bottle and lid comes off (see photos). Yes, the bottle is still tight after a year.
Is the bottle suitable for hot and cold drinks?
Yes. Hot drinks stay hot, cold drinks stay cold.
