Review: OXO Good Grips Egg Slicer

In our egg slicer tests, we place particular emphasis on the following aspects:

The cutting wires of the OXO Good Grips egg slicer are tightly tensioned and appear high-quality, though it is noticeable that not all wires have the same tension. According to the manufacturer, this kitchen gadget is dishwasher-safe (to be placed in the top rack), which was confirmed in our test: The egg slicer withstood cleaning in the dishwasher without any damage.

The base of the egg slicer is surrounded by a non-slip rubber coating, ensuring a secure stand. The handle is also rubberized, providing a good grip. The egg cavity is large enough to accommodate most standard-sized eggs.

• Cutting performance: Although the cutting performance of the OXO Good Grips egg slicer is decent, it doesn't achieve perfection. Slight crushing occurs at one end of the egg, but the egg slices can still be separated reasonably well. 3.5 out of 5 points
